Hyatt Place Dubai Jumeirah Review
Dubai has no shortage of accommodation choices for all travellers, whatever your budget, taste and tolerance for bling or preference for something more refined.
In the depths of winter in Europe – decided to spend a few days working from here and NOT do a single touristy thing, other than enjoy some winter sun and the beach!
If you’re searching for a stylish and comfortable hotel in Dubai, the Hyatt Place Dubai Jumeirah could be an excellent choice. This 4-star hotel strikes a perfect balance between quality, comfort, and value.
Location
The hotel is situated in Al Mina, near Jumeirah, offering quick access to La Mer Beach. It is not bang in the middle of Jumeirah where you are right by the beach however, it’s about a 5 minute Uber ride from it or 15 minutes of walking.
Dubai World Trade Centre, Downtown Dubai, and Dubai International Airport are all easily accessible.
Overall its a decent location for travellers who want to be close to both leisure and business districts. Taxis are readily available, and ride-hailing apps like Careem and Uber work seamlessly here.
While the area around the hotel is more business-oriented and quieter compared to hotspots like Dubai Marina or Downtown you’ll find supermarkets, pharmacies, and plenty of restaurants nearby.
Check-In Experience
I arrived around 9am in the morning and was was greeted right at the drop off point with my small luggage whisked away for me..

The lobby is bright, clean, and welcoming, giving a solid first impression.
Standard check-in is at 3pm but the reception advised they should have a room for me in an hour or so, which is always nice!
So I just decided to grab a coffee and do some work in the lobby. There are a couple of seating areas for you to wait during check-in which are quite comfortable

There are plenty of individual sofa chairs on the other side as well as the area at the back where there used to be a cafe

If you need to freshen up before check-in and head out for the day, there are well appointed common shower rooms you can use

Around 11ish, I headed back to the reception to check and they had my room ready !
The check-in process at Hyatt Place Dubai Jumeirah was seamless.
Staff were courteous and efficient
Room
The rooms at Hyatt Place Dubai Jumeirah are modern and generously sized, especially compared to other hotels in the same price category.

My King Room featured a plush bed, a cozy seating area with a sofa with several lamp shades, and a functional workspace.

The neutral colour palette, combined with natural light from floor-to-ceiling windows, created a relaxing atmosphere.

The room came equipped with a large flat-screen TV, complimentary bottled water, a mini-fridge, safe, and coffee/tea making facilities.
Bathroom
Sliding dark wood panelled doors revealed the bathroom, which was spotless, with a walk-in shower and stocked with all essential toiletries.

There was plenty of worktop besides the washbasin with shelving underneath for the assortment of towels..

Soundproofing was excellent – I barely heard a thing from outside, despite the hotel’s central location.
Breakfast – The Focus
My room rate included Breakfast, which is served at the ground level Focus Café, and it exceeded expectations.

The buffet included a wide variety of international and local dishes, including freshly baked pastries, cereals, eggs made to order, Arabic mezze, and an excellent selection of fruits and juices.

The hot items and choice of eggs were great, though if you wanted anything other than scrambled or fried, there was a bit of a wait during the busy periods..

There was a decent range of cold cut meats and cheeses..

I’m not sure how many people like eating vegetables for breakfast, going by the wide selection of it here, I would imagine, quite a lot !
There was however an equally extensive choice of fruits..

And the pastries and baked goods section did not disappoint either

Barista-style coffee is also available.
Even during busy times, the staff managed the flow well, keeping the buffet replenished and the tables clean.
