Plaza Premium Lounge LHR T2
I visited this Plaza Premium Lounge LHR early July before catching a morning flight from Terminal 2. For many months during the first year of Covid, many lounges were simply just closed for business as many airports were almost a ghost-town. Thankfully the situation has somewhat improved now. Life is slowly springing back and to a new kind of normal for now.
Access
During this time, Virgin Atlantic were also using this lounge for their Upper Class Passengers as they moved flight operations from T3 to T2 during the terminal consolidation phase. Virgin have finally moved back to T3 and their fabulous Clubhouse!
This lounge was also part of the Priority Pass network, just in the last few days of my visit this changed!

After about 5 min wait, I was checked in through to the lounge. It was quite an inviting reception!
The inviting theme continued through and into the lounge zones. This central space leads into all the other spaces. Conveniently, that is where the bar is too.
As you can see, there are clear feet markings to guide people to keep their distance!
If I were to hazard a guess, I would say there were about 30-35 people in the lounge at the time. So the atmosphere was rather ambient and relaxing. As a lounge should be.
I needed to sort out some stuff on my laptop, which came in handy.
Food & Beverage
The lounge provides hot food options through the day. Being there early in the morning though, the offering was limited to a selection of breakfast items.
I was not all that impressed with the offering to be honest. I was just going by the look of the eggs mostly.
There are specific seating areas for dining where you can be seated after selecting your food choices.
Anyway, I wasn’t that hungry, so just got a couple of light bites and a coffee.
Note, due to Covid regulations, this is not a buffet, but rather you order what you want and the food is bought over to your table. During that time, I was waiting on and asked if I wanted anything else, which I wasn’t expecting!
Then I went to chill out in the other corner until my flight was due to board.
Most seating spaces had accessible power sockets. The Wifi was also reasonably strong. There were only a handful of screen showing flight statuses. As is standard with most lounges, there are no boarding calls here.
There is a nice restroom and showers, though I never used it.
Overall Thoughts
After about 80 minutes in the lounge, it was time to board. I could not help thinking this might be the most pleasant Plaza Premium I have been in. I don’t know if its just because of covid, but it never got busy or noisy, which can be a signature trait of most Plaza Premiums. I liked the deco and the staff were generally very friendly. I will certainly visit Plaza Premium Lounge LHR again if I pass through T2.
