Adani First Class Lounge Mumbai

On a recent journey out of Mumbai, I had the pleasure of experiencing Etihad’s First Class for the second time, and I was glad to see the airline delivering on all the expected premium touchpoints—with access to a dedicated First Class lounge at Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport.

This review follows my earlier coverage of the Adani Business Class lounge, as both share certain facilities, including showers, restrooms, and a spa. However, First Class passengers are personally escorted through the main lounge into an exclusive space—though it’s not particularly large.

The setup is somewhat reminiscent of American Airlines’ Flagship Dining, with a clear focus on elevated food and beverage service. That said, the space is still well-suited for work, offering a comfortable setting with attentive waiter service for drinks. It certainly felt more refined, with a heightened level of personalized attention

Location & Access

After clearing dedicated First & Business Class security, head straight through duty-free. As you approach the gate numbers, follow the signs and turn right.

You’ll find the entrance to the Adani Lounge near Gate 85.

Access & Eligibility

This lounge is strictly for First Class passengers departing on an international flight. If you are not handed a invitation card at check-in by your airline, you will not have access.

Currently you will find Air India, Emirates, Etihad and Singapore Airlines First Class passengers are being invited here.

The lighting and décor exudes a luxurious and sophisticated ambiance as you walk in.

The space is a perhaps a little smaller than the Concorde dining room with a touch more elegance..

The striking suspended glass chandelier features an array of glass pendants in a mix of rounded and pointed shapes, creating an artistic, almost lantern-like effect.

It has more of an open feel to it – with the seating is arranged around 3 of the four sides, with two smaller centre table forming a centre island where staff use as a service area..

There are about 12 semi-partitioned dining booths which are sleekly designed, each with a singular glass chandelier following through in the same design as the central lighting..

The red velvet bench touches together with the golden glow of the lighting adds a sense of warmth.

In total there are seating for about 30 passengers – possibly more than enough given the shrinking First Class footprint now. There was 2 dedicated staff – in my time here I only saw about 10-12 passengers in total.

A La Carte Dining

I was offered to take my pick tables which were all ready and beatifically dressed – and had the extra plating and glasses removed whilst water and drink choices where taken.

I was proactively offered Champagne – Moet & Chandon Brut Impérial – which flowed freely for the entire time!

The menu was as follows:

As you can see, you are spilt for choice here with 6 starters, 5 dedicated Veg mains and 6 non-veg mains – one which had a veg variant and then 7 items of desserts

There were many dishes that piqued my interest, but I had to save space for my onboard dinner, so to start

I opted for TOM KHA GAI flavourful chicken soup with lemon grass, galangal, kaffir lime and coconut milk

Which was served pipping hot, when I was able to tuck into it a few minutes later – it was absolutely delicious !

For the main – I went for a platter of sorts from the Tandoorconsisting of murg shikari tikka, ghost adana kebab with sumac and tandoori burhani jhinga

This was done to perfection and impeccably presented.

To finish off, I ordered Pistachio Alkazara pistachio sponge with raspberry jelly & cream Chantilly

The staff were super attentive throughout the meal and checked in to see everything was okay.

After this “late lunch” early dinner, I decided to go check out the Business lounge and the facilities they had there.

Spa Treatments

If you manage to gain entry here, it is likely your airline will also include some form of free spa treatment in the Spa.

For me this included a 30 minute treatment of choice. I was able to co-ordinate this directly from the staff here to booked me a slot an hour after my meal.

I opted for a foot massage – which was simply incredible !

Overall Thoughts

This is a decent offering for First Class passengers out of Mumbai. It is a small space mostly focused on providing an elevated dining experience – and it does this to a great level with excellent choice and quality of catering. The service I received was super cordial and professional.

While the setting is plush with a great ambience to enjoy a meal in or just enjoy some drinks – which I did for the last half hour after my massage, it would have been great to have dedicated restroom/shower facilities for First Class too – which Singapore Airlines manages to do with Private Room.
