We are in an extraordinary times, that is perhaps unprecedented for most of our live times. I’ve been loving how so many bloggers have suddenly become up to the hour news reporters. I mean unless you really are living in a remote cave somewhere, you aren’t likely to escape any of it, for the traditional news outlets have probably got most of us glued to our screens already.
Anyway, if I suddenly seem lacking in flying and dealing with withdrawals, its not for lack of bookings! These are my travel plans/ flights I’ve currently got booked..
This trip is coming up just in a matter of days, though a certain President has thrown a spanner in the works by extending his irrational European travel ban to U.K passengers yesterday.
I’ve been unable to reach Virgin to re-arrange the flights, but understandably their lines have been super busy. As of now Virgin has not yet cancelled the flights..
I will try to reschedule for April or failing that September. Hopefully I can still secure the best seats in the house!
I’ve flown Turkish Business A330 to Bangkok last year my return to that trip on 777 (which I skipped).
Would be good to see how their 737s compare, the second leg is a 6 hour day flight to Kazakhstan! No doubt their soft product would be superb as usual!
This is a new airline for me and I’ve heard good things, so excited about it!
SriLankan have a recliner business class for their regional flights, which are mostly in a 2-2 configuration. Can’t seem to find a decent picture to use here!
Another new airline for me. Asiana call their international long-haul product “Business Smartium”. The deco sure looks bland, but its all about the substance!
This flight is likely to change if there are travel restrictions still in place for South Korea.
Last but not least, I’ve had Etihad First Class Apartments on my bucket list for a number of years now, and I was so stoked when I booked it.
Unfortunately this is another risky flight, its my from the South Korea in June booked with miles. If the situation in South Korea is not good, this may need to be moved or Etihad might decide to fly to South Korea with a smaller aircraft like 787-9 which have regular First Class Suites. After all alot of airlines are parking/temporarily grounding their A380s.
Fingers crossed by June we would have all got this corona virus epidemic all under control.
I’m going to take each week as it comes and see what would be the best outcome for each of those trips. For the immediate future, our focus should be on our health and well being, as well as those close to us. But we also have a duty of care to society at large, for our actions and behaviours have an impact on others and how this thing affects nations. I’ve had quite a few things booked in this period, but there is nothing certain about any of them.
Stay safe one and all. Whatever you decide to do, if you decide to travel or not, please follow your local health guidelines. Don’t put your or others health at risk. Wash hands regularly, keep your distance from others where necessary, take any precautions you can.
